A.C. Moore Closing All 145 Stores–And Everything is On Sale

On Monday, A.C. Moore announced that it is closing down all of its 145 stores–and the closings are happening fast.

Some stores are already marked down to 40% off everything in stock. In a press release by the company, they stated that it was “very difficult for us to operate and compete on a national level.”

In-Store Savings

Although the company has yet to release the official closing dates of each store, some stores, such as the A.C. Moore in Henrietta, New York, already have store-wide savings of 40%. The Henrietta store is set to close on December 15th, just 20 days after the announcement. At that pace, we expect all stores to close very quickly.

There are 40 stores which are being acquired by Michaels, A.C. Moore’s former rival. Those A.C. Moore stores will also close, but will reopen under the new brand sometime next year.

During the shut down, you’ll be able to score deals better than Black Friday deals to decorate for the holidays or stock up on all of your favorite craft supplies.

Not Just Arts and Crafts

Even if you don’t like crafting or sewing, A.C. Moore has tons of other items you can get at fantastic prices during the store closing.

They have a huge selection of card games and board games that are fun for the whole family. For the home, they have baskets and storage solutions, candles, decorative glassware, lighting accessories, runners and placemats, and even wall decor to spruce up your home at a fraction of the price.

They also have bakeware and decorating supplies, party supplies, and more. If you do love crafting you’ll find everything you need at A.C. Moore including yarn, scrapbooking supplies, beads and jewelry, art supplies, floral, and kids crafts.

Aside from things you’ll want to stock up on for yourself, shopping their final days will save you on stocking stuffers, Christmas gifts, and even Christmas decor.

To find an A.C. Moore near you, simply go to visit their store locator page and enter your zip code. Their stores are primarily scattered around the East Coast, with the exception of a few stores in Idaho.
